Please join us for our annual Spring Retreat! This is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together, to simply BE together, and to cultivate mindfulness and joy together. When we come together as a community, we realize we are not alone on the path. We realize that many wonderful friends, teachers, and mother Earth support us. All we have to do is take one breath in mindfulness, one step in mindfulness, in order to touch all the nourishing and healing elements inside and around us.
Retreat Format: This residential retreat is designed for both beginning and experienced practitioners. Practicing together as a community, we will enjoy walking, eating, and sitting meditation. We will also meet and practice in small groups to share our retreat experience with each other. Attendees who are new to meditation in the Plum Village tradition are welcome and will be given an introduction to practice and orientation to the retreat on the first evening. Location: Our retreat will be hosted at the beautiful Ancient Yoga Center, located in the heart of the Austin Hill Country. It is also known as the Radha Madhav Dham, the home of one of the largest Hindu Temples in the USA. Established in 1990 and open to people of all faiths, it is a center for spiritual upliftment. Accommodations: Ancient Yoga Center offers a wide range of housing options. Overnight accommodations include a choice of private or shared room with an attached bath, or private or shared room with a shared bath just down the hall. Shared bath facilities are complete with showers that each include a small private dressing area. Men and women will live in separate areas. Meals: Vegan, vegetarian (no eggs) and gluten-free options will be available at meals. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the retreat, we are unable to accommodate other special diets.
General Retreat Fees: Retreat fees vary based on the accommodation that you choose. Below is the TOTAL RETREAT FEE/person based on meals and a stay of 3 days, 2 nights (April 26 – April 28):
- Accommodations with a shared bath down the hallway:
- Room with 3+ single beds: $240 total retreat fee/person
- Room with 2 single beds: $270 total retreat fee/person
- Room with 1 single bed: $310 total retreat fee/person
- Accommodations with a private bath attached:
- Room with 3 single beds: $260 total retreat fee/person
- Room with 2 single beds: $280 total retreat fee/person
- Room with 1 single bed: $330 total retreat fee/person
- Commuter Rate (not staying overnight): $190 total retreat fee/person
Retreat Registration: Online registration will open on February 15, 2019
Payment Information: Payments will be accepted online and by check/money order.
Scholarships: Partial scholarships may be available. The application deadline is March 15, 2019. Apply early for best consideration. A scholarship committee will review your application and you will be notified as soon as possible. All scholarship recipients are asked to pay a minimum of $75. To apply, please complete the online scholarship application (available Feb. 15) after completing the online retreat registration form.
